RF-centric autonomous systems for universal autonomy
Talk abstract
In this talk I will present the story of how Zendar has built a RF-centric stack for autonomous vehicles and mobile robots. Unlike most autonomous systems, Zendar's system extensively uses RF sensors, early-fused with cameras, as the primary sensing modality. As a result, this system is extremely robust to weather and environmental conditions, requires 10x less compute than camera-centric approaches, and generalizes rapidly across environments and embodiments. Zendar is currently bringing this to market across robot and vehicle form factors.
