UC Berkeley professors Ana Claudia Arias and Tahir Ghani have been elected as 2025 Fellows of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI), one of the highest professional distinctions awarded to academic inventors.
BWRC is proud to highlight Professor Ana Claudia Arias, a longtime BWRC faculty member, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to flexible electronics, printed sensors, and wearable health technologies. Election to NAI Fellow honors inventors whose work has made a significant impact on quality of life, economic development, and the welfare of society through innovation and commercialization.
Professor Arias’s research bridges materials science, electrical engineering, and bioelectronics, and her innovations have led to numerous patents, startups, and real-world applications. Her election reflects both the global impact of her work and BWRC’s continued leadership in advancing transformative technologies.
